Miller Research has a wealth of experience in conducting high quality quantitative
and qualitative research with employers, communities and individuals. We achieve this by ensuring that our work is conducted with
a great level of rigor and integrity from start to finish. We use a variety of techniques – some of which are tried and tested and some of which we have developed
by exploring different ways of extracting and digesting the most important information.
Our methods of working can be broadly grouped into the categories below, but for
a more detailed description of our techniques, use the right hand column.
Engagement
Providing the opportunity for people to participate and shape their needs is key to creating
successful, vibrant communities. All our consultants offer excellent skills in
engaging with people and understanding how local needs and ideas can fit with broader
strategic plans. All Miller Research staff are CRB checked and have the necessary
empathy to facilitate discussions with young people, vulnerable adults or marginalised groups.
Data Collation and Analysis
Miller Research has developed its database and simple spreadsheet-based
applications as a means to collate, structure, analyse and present often fragmented
data in a cohesive and user-friendly way.
This allows clients to understand, filter and prioritise where investment needs to take place, as well as providing a useful
monitoring tool for measuring future impacts.
Technology
Applying our strong quantitative and qualitative skills we regularly employ user-friendly
online and touch screen technology to ensure high levels of response and for accessing specific
groups of people, as well as making surveys visual and quick to complete.
