Susie has a strong academic and professional background in research and evaluation. She has previously worked for a sustainable development consultancy, a government delivery body for over two years and a research organisation into patient experience of healthcare. After completing a BSc in Sociology at Cardiff University she stayed in Cardiff to study an MSc in Social Science Research Methods. Her thesis focused on the public space of allotments in an urban landscape to explore the social and health benefits that were apparent to individuals.
Since joining Miller in April 2015 she has been involved in a range of projects including: the Evaluation of Resource Efficient Wales Programme, the final stages of the South East Wales Community Economic Development Programme and the Growing the Future evaluation. This has been an interesting mix of projects exploring a range of topics from community growing to evaluating the resource efficient programme that was established in September 2014.
Out of the office, Susie enjoys travelling to new places with camera in hand to capture the landscape as the photograph of the Geysir in Iceland shows. She has recently moved to Abergavenny so is looking forward to exploring the Brecon Beacons, after enjoying a challenging climb up Table Mountain in South Africa last year.
