I have recently joined Miller Research as a Research Analyst. Two years prior I graduated from Bangor University with a degree in Marine Biology. I am passionate about marine conservation particularly the fragility of coral and vital coral reef ecosystems, having studied this area in depth for my dissertation.
Since starting at Miller Research I have been introduced to the friendly and welcoming staff and I am already involved in several interesting projects. One project, for example, is an Assessment of Seafood Sector Readiness Post-Brexit for the Marine & Fisheries Division of the Welsh Government. As you may have guessed, I am finding this project intriguing due to my degree background and the added interest of being a current area of ever-growing importance for the UK as the EU exit date approaches.
I am familiar with the idyllic location where the Miller Research Offices is situated, having lived in Monmouthshire, Wales for many years. I have climbed Skirrid mountain numerous times and it is nice to work every day with a view of Skirrid and the surroundings. The scenic landscape that can be seen from the office window never ceases to amaze.
At Miller Research I look forward to developing my research skills and experience in a variety of projects.
